What if there was ONE powerful step you could take to make your dreams come true? Would you be willing to do it? How would your life be different if you were living your dream?
If you're willing to try it, keep reading!
There are hundreds, if not thousands of actions that each of us takes every day. We make seemingly automatic decisions and then take the necessary steps to accomplish them.
Everything from preparing food, to getting dressed, replying to emails, connecting with others, reading an article that might benefit us (like this one), resting, working, taking care of others and, sometimes, taking care of our Selves.
And, in the midst of all that? Sometimes there's a few minutes left at the end of the day to think about or plan what we're REALLY wanting to create for ourselves in the future.
And sometimes not.
We might go days (weeks? years?) without ever considering — or moving toward — what it is that we're really wanting to accomplish in our lives. Something that might ultimately fulfill us, and truly feed our soul.
Has that ever happened to you? "Oh, my gosh," we might say. "There was a time that I wanted to ___________. " (Go back to school, start an art project, plant a garden, hire a fitness coach, run a marathon, become an actor, move to a new city or a different country...)
And somehow, time passed and we "forgot" or worse, made excuses ("not enough time" and "not enough money" are two perennial favorites) to not do it.
There's a super effective way to ensure that your dreams, ideas and plans don't slip away. It's a relatively simple step to make your dreams come true, yet it is one that requires total commitment from you.
So, imagine once again what it would be like to be living your dream. Create a vivid picture in your mind. Feel the joy and fulfillment. Dare to dream big.
Want to know the ONE THING you can do to make your dreams happen?
Starting now, make a commitment that every day you will take ONE action in the direction of your dreams.
That's it. No matter what your dreams are, take no less than ONE action toward achieving them. Every day. Keep it simple:
Is your dream to save money? Get some savings jars ready or open a savings account. Hire a financial coach or join an investment club.
Do you want to lose weight? Sign up at the local gym. Hire a trainer. Or go jogging around the block.
Want to see Europe? Apply for your passport. See a travel agent or sign up for couchsurfing for an exciting and affordable adventure.
Aspire to have an art exhibition? Buy a canvas and paints. Take an art class.
Want to meet your soulmate? Have your profile photo taken by a friend or a professional photographer and post it on a dating site.
Each day, do ONE thing. Even if it's a relatively small step.
Micro-movements - steps that take between 5 seconds to 5 minutes to complete - have been shown to be really effective and create an energy and velocity in the direction of your dreams.
And, then what? Take action the next day. And the next.
The only thing that could ever stop you is either:
Not knowing what your dreams are. Or
Not knowing what actions to take.
Need support with that?
If either of these are challenging for you, we're here to help. Taking the simple step of hiring a Life Coach (whether it's one of us or someone else) is a sure fire way to gain clarity, connect to your dreams, guarantee success, be held accountable — and so much more. And it's super easy to get started.
To make your dreams come true, try this:
Choose one dream that you have that hasn't been realized yet.
Commit to taking ONE action today.
After, notice the feeling of joy and sense of accomplishment that you have for taking this step.
Allow momentum to build and be fueled by your enthusiasm (even if it feels scary.)
Get into a new habit of taking at least ONE action each day. Sooner than you realize you will be on your way!
Sometimes, it's taking that FIRST step that is most challenging. Stay connected to the beauty of your dream, and follow through daily.
WATCH OUT FOR any critical voice(s) that might rear their ugly heads with internal comments such as: "Well, it's about time!" or "You're never going to achieve that, you know." Or " Who do you think you are?" or "that doesn't really count..."
It's vital that, when you're taking these early micro-movements, that you continue to believe in your self, and your dreams.
So, are you willing to try it?
Give yourself ONE week of committed action. Or if you're really adventurous ONE month. And see what you've been able to accomplish, how it feels to be living your dream.
After all, living your dream isn't just about achieving it. It's about the richness of the journey and your trajectory as you build up to it!
We'd love to hear your thoughts, plans, ideas and dreams in the comments below. And what actions are you willing to take in that direction? Just ONE. Mention the ONE thing you are wiling to do that you will commit to doing.
Thank you!! We LOVE you and are thankful for you.

(Editor's Note: When we were nearly finished writing this blog we realized that we wrote a blog post really similar to this one, more than 9 months ago. There was a moment of "Oh, wait. Let's delete this second post, it's a little redundant." Then a stronger realization: we fervently believe in the power of taking action — enough to write more than one post about it. Wonder how many more posts will show up on this theme?) :)
